Jordan on Tuesday denied the allegation of allowing the U.S. army to use its military base to transfer supplies to Israel, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
An unnamed military source from the Jordanian Armed Forces said the claims circulating on social media suggesting a U.S. military aircraft taking off from a Jordanian military base to transport supplies to Israel is baseless and false.
The source said the aircraft mentioned passed through Jordanian airspace after being granted a transit permit in accordance with legal procedures governing international flight movements, adding that it has been confirmed that the airplane was carrying passengers, not any equipment.
