Red Cross, United Nations are incompetent not commenting on the Russian atrocities. The international community outcries the executions.
Geneva, Switzerland (23/1- 80). In 2024 alone, Ukrainian authorities confirmed the execution of at least 109 Ukrainian POWs by Russian forces. Ukraine’s human rights commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets, forwarded evidence to the UN and the Red Cross, which have largely ignored these actions.
This figure represents a stark increase compared to previous years, where a total of 177 executions had been documented since the beginning of the full-scale war in 2022.
The reports are reminiscent to the Second World War with Russian troops committing war crimes against the populations. This included troops in the trenches as shown here, and no these are not legitimate targets, civilian populations like in Bucha, targeting of civilian schools, hospitals and energy infrastructure.
“Make no mistake”, said a military observer in the Ukraine, “if the Russians think this will break their fighting will, they are grossly mistaken.”
The Ukrainian hardens and the international isolation of identifiable Russians committing these crimes. Bellingcat and other NGOs are working already on establishing the identity of the offenders.
If the war continues, more retaliation will be experienced. Eventually the Russian will feel the pinch of paybacks. None of the Red Army propaganda of “This is Russia”-narrative but more of a corrupt, incompetent leadership who are unable to restrain armed thugs.
The resistance against Russian troops will increase as no quarters are given, no quarters are given. The war will descend in killing the other guys.
Nothing of this results in the greatness of Russia. All points towards the Ukrainians do not want to be subdued by the imperial madness of Putin’s madness and want to live free from the yolk of Mother Russia.
